I started reading and thought it would b just like those empowerment poems that go on and on about self worth. However, you found a way of playing such and overplayed concept in an angle that made me want to read, at least once more.
The 3 rhetorical questions in the middle and the closing line workd amazingly 4 the poem. Othrwise, u should keep writing. I see potential

Interesting Poem
Not necessarily new concept but I liked the fresh baked implementation of it
I thougt following lines stood out:
"Nigger Landed on us
keeping our freedom grounded
that word..
that phrase..
was a black mans description"

Powerful.

It's always nice to hear a females perspective on that word! It had just the right amount of intensity .. you can feel the emotion, but it wasn't overtly angry. Nice drop.
